Dr. Laurent, known to his patients as Dr. L, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Raised in Brooklyn, New York, his interest in dentistry began after a childhood accident left him with a chipped front tooth. Seeing his dentist restore it so easily made a lasting impression and sparked his path into dental care.
Dr. L earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University at Albany and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, D.C.
He completed both general practice and pediatric dental residencies at BronxCare Health System, serving as chief resident in both programs. That experience shaped his clinical philosophy and strengthened his passion for prevention, patient education, and comfortable care.
Dr. L is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Outside the office, he and his wife enjoy traveling, exploring new cultures, and finding local cuisine wherever they go.
