"Dr. K," as her patients know her, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She grew up in southern Connecticut and received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut before attending UConn School of Dental Medicine.
After dental school, Dr. K trained in a general practice residency at New York Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, strengthening her hospital-based, emergency, and comprehensive dental treatment skills. Community dental clinics and mission trips to Honduras helped shape her passion for working with children and families.
She completed a two-year pediatric dental specialty program at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, New York, where she received advanced training for infants, children, adolescents, and children with special health care needs.
Her training includes behavior guidance, minimally invasive dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation with sedation and general anesthesia, interceptive orthodontics, and laser frenectomy care for tongue and lip ties.
Dr. K is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Connecticut Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
